Taxonomy Identification: Family Arachnidae. First named by Ausserer in 1875
Colour: Black spider with reddish abdomen; faint pale marking on legs.
Size: Leg span width 120+mm. Specimens are supplied on a card base (not glued).
Comments & Applications: Large impressive tarantula spiders, commonly known as the Mexican Red Rump. Rarely offered as dried specimens; perfect subject for the arts and design industry, photography, horror film, Halloween, entertainment and educational purposes.
