Taxonomy Identification: Family Cerambycidae, First named by Linnaeus in 1758
Colour: Overall elaborate pattern of black, orange-red and greenish-yellow markings in both sexes. Males have long front legs.
Size: Length from tip of head to end of abdomen 45-70+mm – excludes antenna and legs
Comments & Applications: One of the most spectacular of all beetles, amazingly long front legs and gorgeous patterns and colours. Commonly called the Harlequin Beetle. A seldom offered species, always popular with collectors. Ideal for artwork, photography, framing, interior design, film, entertainment or educational purposes
