Taxonomy Identification: Family, Nymphalidae, First named by Bates 1860. This species is synonymous with Agrias beatifica ssp. lachaume

Colour: Male bright shimmering blue with silver-blue and black margins. Female similar but darker. Underside (verso) grey-blue with intricate black spots and patterns and red patch.

Size: Wingspan 80-90mm
