Taxonomy Identification: Family, Riodinidae, First named by Cramer 1777
Colour: The base colour of the topside (recto) wings is black with a red bar running across both wings, and a thicker red bar on the hind wing edged in small white spots. The underside (verso) is shimmering blue with red spot on the hooked red line on hindwing with white spot.
Size: Wingspan 33-36mm
