Taxonomy Identification: Family Pieridae, first named by Boisduval in 1836
Colour: A sexually dimorphic species, the topside wings on the male butterfly are white, sometimes with a black margin. The female can be either white or yellow with wider black margin. Underside varies from pale to dark yellow, especially in the female. Highly variable with multiple sub-species.
Size: Wingspan 60-70mm
