Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, first named by Joicey & Talbot in 1921.
Colour: Sexually dimorphic, males are dark orange-brown lines of black spots. Females are pale brown with darker markings and white patch on apex of the forewing. The underside wings are pale brown.
Size: Wingspan 55-75mm
Comments & Applications: A butterfly of dense forest habitat. Rarely offered for sale, a nice collectors species and also useful for framing, domes, artwork, photography, interior design and film.
