Taxonomy Identification: Family Satyrinae, first named by Rebel in 1914; ssp. choveti by Libert in 1996.
Colour: Female brown with white bar on forewing; Male brown with purple-white bar on forewing. The underside wings on both sexes is brown with single reddish brown line and eyelets.
Size: Wingspan 50-60mm
Comments & Applications: Commonly known Grauer’s Bush Brown butterfly. This is a unusual collectors species and also useful for framing, domes, artwork, photography, interior design and film.
