Description

Taxonomy Identification: Family Mantidae, First named by Giglio-Tos in 1915.

Colour: The body and legs of this Mantid are green. The forewing are green. The hind-wings peach/pink with orange and black.

Size: Length measuring from the tip of the head to the end of the abdomen but excluding the legs and antenna: Male 30-33mm Wingspan 38-40mm.

Comments & Applications:  This Mantid species is very dainty and pretty to the eye. Commonly known as the Umbrella Mantid. It can be found in Malaysia, Sumatra and Borneo. Always popular among collectors and the ideal subject for artwork, photography, framing, interior design, film, entertainment or educational purposes
