Taxonomy Identification: Family, Nymphalidae, First named by Felder in 1861
Colour: The base colour of the topside (recto) wings is black with an orange-yellow bar on the forewing and a blue patch on the hindwing. The underside (verso) forewing is barred in orange, black and pale brown. The verso hindwing is much “busier” with black lines and circles with blue spots.
Size: Wingspan 43-48mm
