Taxonomy Identification: Family, Nymphalidae, First named by Felder in 1861
Colour: The base colour of the topside (recto) wings is black with a orange-yellow bar on the forewing and a blue patch on the hindwing. The underside (verso) forewing is similar but paler with additional pale orange outer lines. The verso hindwing is much “busier” with pale yellowish brown lines splashed with dashes and lines of blue.
Size: Wingspan 43-48mm
