Taxonomy Identification: Family Pieridae, Named by Boisduval 1836
Colour: Colouration topside (recto) brown with yellowish cream patches and markings. The underside (verso) hind-wings are a complex pattern with white/yellow spots.
Size: Wingspan 40-50mm
Comments & Applications: A wide ranging species found throughout the Neotropical region. Commonly called the Pine or Dartwhite butterfly. Not often offered for sale, collectable and ideal for trade applications creating unique one off pieces.
