Taxonomy Identification: Family Lycaenidae, Named by Boisduval in 1870
Colour: Colouration topside (recto) azure blue with faint white streaks. The underside (verso) hind-wings are silver with tiny black speckles and hints of orange.
Size: Wingspan 23-30mm
Comments & Applications: A most beautiful butterfly from the Neotropical region. Commonly called the Mexican Azure. Rarely offered for sale, collectable and ideal for trade applications creating unique one off pieces.
