Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, first named by Drury in 1773
Colour: Wings on males are bright orange red, framed by a black outline with white spots, lace patterns. The wings of the females are greyish-brownish with black spots and white bands and spots on the black margins.
Size: Wingspan 55-80mm
