Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, first named by Butler in 1866
Colour: A sexually dimorphic species, the topside wings on the male butterfly are orange-brown with black border on fore-wings and a row of black spots on hind-wings. Extremely variable patterns and colours.
Size: Wingspan 66-75mm
