Taxonomy Identification: Family, Scarabaeidae > Rutelidae. First named by Sallé in 1874
Colour: Overall metallic silver.
Size: Length measuring from tip of head/jaw to the end of the abdomen, but excluding legs 25-30mm
Comments & Applications: This is among the most spectacular and highly prized beetles in the world. Very rarely available captive bred in Costa Rica. Perfect for high-end framing, domes, artwork, photography, where rarity is desired.
