Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, First named by Butler in 1875
Colour: Bright orange and black patterns on the topside (recto) with two yellow bands across the angular forewings. The underside (verso) wings are various shades of brown its cryptic verso mimics a dead leaf. Hind-wings have short tails. Highly variable patterns.
Size: Wingspan 70-80mm
