Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae. First named by Overlaet in 1944
Colour: The topside wings (recto) on the male are blood red, hind wings edged in black spots.
Comments & Applications: A seldom offered species from Central African Republic. One of several red cymothoe species highly collectable and also perfect for frames, wall hangings, domes etc.
