Taxonomy Identification: Family Pieridae, first named by Kenrick in 1909
Colour: Wings topside (tecto) are white with black margin, underside wings (verso) black with red margin.
Size: Wingspan 45-50mm
Comments & Applications: One of the many delias species of butterfly this is a particular attractive butterfly and perfect for insect framing, domes, artwork, photography, interior design and film. A rare subspecies from Arfak seldom offered for sale. Common name black Jezebel.
