Taxonomy Identification: Family Pieridae, first named by Boisduval in 1836
Colour: Topside (recto) forewings are black with faint white dashes, recto hindwings black with a large greyish white patch. The underside (verso) forewings resemble the topside, while the lower hindwing is mainly yellow with a red upper margin.
Size: Wingspan 65-75mm
Comments & Applications: A seldom offered butterfly from Java. A nice collectors species also perfect for natural history framing, art and craft.
