Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, First named by Staudinger, in 1886.
Colour: Topside (recto) dark brown with reddish brown patch towards base of wing. The (verso) undersides brown with two eyelets on hindwing, and white and black patterns and spots.
Size: Wingspan 70-80mm
