Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, First named by Cramer in 1777
Colour: Topside (recto) wings blackish brown with iridescent purple sheen. The underside (verso) is a mixture of browns and black patterns with a patch of orange.
Size: Wingspan 50-55mm
