Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, First named by Latreille in 1813

Colour: Topside (recto) wings blackish brown with iridescent turquoise-blue patch on the hind-wings. The underside (verso) is silvery-brown with additional black and orange makings on the verso forewing.

Size: Wingspan 50-55mm
