Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, sub-family Heliconiinae. First named by Hubner in 1807.

Colour: Box sexes bright orange with a small brown patch on forewing. The underside (verso) is light brown with darker patches.

Size: Wingspan 65-80mm
