Description

Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, First named by Fabricius in 1775.

Colour: Topside (recto) The wings are a beautiful orange with brown markings. Males are slightly brighter.The underside (verso) is a mixture of browns.

Size: Wingspan 65-80mm

Comments & Applications: This butterfly is commonly known as  the Julia butterfly. It is common in the tropical and subtropical areas of North, Central, and South America. Can be used in  framing, domes, artwork, photography, interior design and film.
