Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae. First named by Stoll in 1781
Colour: Male topside (recto) black with faint blue patch on forewing. Female coloured a overall pale brown. The underside (verso) brownish back with rows of white spots.
Size: Wingspan 65-70mm
Comments & Applications: A seldom offered species from Seram, one of the many Palm butterflies. Nice collectors species. Ideal for an education or school project, also perfect for framing, domes photography, interior design and film applications.
