Entomology pest control crystals & dispensing spoon

Description

PDB Crystals are dyed yellow and infused with a lemon perfume. Use sparingly for application in air tight sealed entomological boxes, not for fumigating large areas. Be aware that PDB is corrosive and will melt most plastics including case liners such as plastazote. It is not advised that PDB be used as a long term solution.

Further Information: For many years Entomologists employed the chemical PDB which worked well as a fumigant insecticide for killing pest of dried insects, wool, hides, and taxidermy specimens such as the Museum beetle Mites,  and Book lice.

However over recent years this substance has been withdrawn from import into the EU/UK due to concerns of over its carcinogenic properties. Although PDB is still widely used in agriculture and hygiene applications across the world it is now extremely difficult to obtain in Europe. As stocks run down these will be our final supplies. Before purchase please read the below cautionary notes.

WARNING UN 3077  – USER ATTENTION PDB is a hazardous irritant and corrosive. Keep out of reach of Children. Use protective gloves & face mask. Use in a well ventilated area. Do not inhale directly. Avoid contact with body, skin & eyes. If exposed rinse thoroughly with water. PDB melts most plastics. Toxic to aquatic life Avoid release into the environment. Store away from food.

Note If you have a large pest infestation place everything in a freezer for 4 days. This should kill the pest imago, larvae and ova.
