Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, first named by Boisduval in 1836 – Eresia butterflies form complex mimicry rings with Heliconiinae and Ithomiinae species.
Colour: (Topside) A brownish-black butterfly with orange bars and yellow patches. The underside of the wings are similar but paler.
Size: Wingspan 45-55mm
