Taxonomy Identification: Family Erebidae > Calpinae. First named by Lucas in 1894
Colour: The topside (recto) forewings are dark brown, the female has an additional green bar. Hindwing yellow with black outer edge. Underside wings (verso) similar.
Size: Wingspan 70-80mm
Comments & Applications: This is a rare fruit piercing moth from Ambon, females have a beautiful green streak on the forewing. One for the connoisseur collector or use in high end bespoke productions.
