Taxonomy Identification: Family Erebidae > Calpinae. First named by Linnaeus in 1763
Colour: The topside (recto) forewings are dark brown, the female has an additional greyish cream patterns and cream spot/triangle. Hindwing yellow with black outer edge and hooked black bar. Underside wings (verso) similar.
Size: Wingspan 70-80mm
