Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, first named by Berger in 1981

Colour: (Topside) Black with vivid deep blue patches and golden yellow or white bar.  The underside of the wings are pale sandy brown with black spots and prominent white bar.

Size: Wingspan 70-80mm

Comments & Applications: A beautiful and seldom offered butterfly from Central African Republic. Euphaedra are sought after collectors species and also popular for framing, domes, artwork, photography, interior design and film.
