Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, first named by Aurivillius in 1896
Colour: (Topside) Black with vivid deep blue patches and reddish patch. The underside of the wings are olive brown with intricate black spots and dashes, prominent white bar and reddish central patch.
Size: Wingspan 70-80mm
