Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, first named by Hecq in 1978
Colour: Topside (recto) wings black with large areas of reddish brown with white bar on the forewing. The underside (verso) wings have a base colour of buff with various white spots edged in black. Wing apex ends in a white bar.
Size: Wingspan 75-85+mm
