Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, first named by Hecq in 1982
Colour: Topside (recto) wings black with blue patches, and yellowish bar on the forewing. The underside (verso) wings have a base colour of olive-buff with various black patterns and lines with large buff-orange patch and a cream apex bar.
Size: Wingspan 80-90+mm
Comments & Applications: A rare collectable African butterfly. Seldom offered for sale; ideal for high end bespoke applications.
