Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, first named by Sharpe in 1891
Colour: (Topside) Black with vivid deep blue patches and yellowish-gold bar. The underside of the wings are pale olive brown with small black spots; faint white bar.
Size: Wingspan 70-80mm
