Taxonomy Identification: Family Curculionidae, first identified by Heller in 1923

Colour: Overall colouration blue with metallic blue and black bands, highly variable.

Size: Length from tip of snout to end of abdomen 24-30mm – excludes legs and antenna

Comments & Applications: A lovely metallic blue and black weevil from Jayapura, Papua Indonesia. One for the connoisseur collector.
