Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, First named by Staudinger in 1887.
Colour: Topside (recto) Wings are black brown with a royal blue. The underside (verso) is brown with white dots along the edge.
Size: Wingspan 60-80mm
Comments & Applications: This butterfly is in the tiger and crow family, and is known as the Blue Banded King Crow.
