Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, Danaidae. First identified by Fabricius in 1793
Colour: Colouration topside (recto) is black with outer margin of small blue spots. The underside (verso) wings are black with small white spots along the wing margin.
Size: Wingspan 60-70mm
Comments & Applications: A lovely crow butterfly from the oriental Malay region. Commonly called the Dwarf Crow. Not often offered for sale from this region, collectable sub-species and ideal for trade applications creating unique one off pieces.
