Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, first named by Aurivillius in 1892
Colour: The female wings are brown with a white patch; males dark brown. The underside wings are various shades of brown; with extra patches of white on the female.
Size: Wingspan 60-85mm
Comments & Applications: Commonly called the Dusen’s nymph butterfly, inhabiting dense Forrest. Seldom offered for sale, a nice collectors species and also useful for framing, domes, artwork, photography, interior design and film.
