Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, first named by Ward in 1871
Colour: (Topside) This butterfly has a base colour of black with a lovely mint green to that forms the amazing patterns. Stunning butterfly. (Underside) has lovely tones of dark brown/black, yellowy green, white and black that form a lovely pattern.
Size: Wingspan 80-90mm
Comments & Applications: Known as the Crossley’s forest queen. A very pretty nymphalidae butterfly from Central African Republic. A popular butterfly for framing, domes, artwork, photography, interior design and film.
