Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae. First named by Cramer in 1775
Colour: Black wings with blueish green spots, dashes and patches. The underside wings are similar but paler with central reddish brown patch.
Size: Wingspan 75-90mm
Comments & Applications: A large and stunning butterfly from Central African Republic, a less common species and highly collectable. Dried butterflies make the perfect subject for school science projects. Also ideal for framing, domes, photography, interior design and film applications.
