Taxonomy Identification: Family Scolopendridae. Named by Linnaeus in 1758
Colour: Living specimens are reddish brown with blue-black bars/rings. Dried specimens are much darker and the black bar/ring is less defined.
Size: Overall length 190-240mm. Specimens are supplied on a card base (not glued).
Comments & Applications: Huge giant centipedes, always a show stopper these impressive beasties make the perfect subject for the arts and design industry, photography, film, entertainment and educational purposes.
