Taxonomy Identification: Family, Dynastidae, First named by Linnaeus in 1771
Colour: The pronotum (thorax cover) is coloured in a dark mahogany brown. The elytra (wing coverings) are a more chestnut brown, with black central line. The legs are black.
Size: Length measuring from the tip of jaw/head/horn to end on abdomen but excluding legs and antenna 50-55+mm
