Taxonomy Identification: Family Papilionidae, First named by Godart in 1819
Colour: Topside (recto) wings are black and green. The underside wings (verso) are beautifully patterned with a shimmering copper green colouration.
Size: Wingspan 75-85mm
Comments & Applications: Known as the coppery swordtail butterfly. A popular species used in the trade for butterfly framing, domes, artwork, photography, interior design and film. Nice collectable species.
