Taxonomy Identification: Family Heliconiinae, first identified by Ménétriés in 1857
Colour: Topside (recto) wings black with red patch on forewing and yellow bar on hindwing. The underside (verso) is similar but with additional red markings.black with yellow and red margin on hindwing.
Size: Wingspan 65-75mm
Comments & Applications: Rare Long-wing butterfly, one for the connoisseur collection. Always popular with the trade used for framing, domes, artwork, photography, interior design and film.
Format: Male or Female specimens depending on availability. Unmounted, papered, wings folded, requires relaxing and setting
