Taxonomy Identification: Family, Dynastidae, First named by Prell in 1912
Colour: The base colour is black with reddish chestnut hair over the whole elytra. Prothorax, legs and head black.
Size: Length measuring from the tip of jaw/head/horn to end on abdomen but excluding legs and antenna: Females 38-40mm Males 42-45mm
Comments & Applications: This is a most unusual collectable rhinoceros beetle with a strange covering of wool like hairs over the elytra. Seldom offered for sale, perfect for high end applications where the subject matter is unique.
