Taxonomy Identification: Family, Dynastidae, First named by Burmeister in 1847
Colour: The overall colour is glossy black with reddish hairs on the underside of the central horn.
Size: Length measuring from the tip of jaw/head/horn to end on abdomen but excluding legs and antenna 50-55+mm
Comments & Applications: This is a most unusual collectable rhinoceros beetle with huge twin horns on the head and prothorax. Very rare and seldom offered for sale. Perfect for high end applications where the subject matter is unique.
