Taxonomy Identification: Family Lucanidae. Named by Mollemkamp in 1898
Colour: Black jaws, head, prothorax and legs. Chestnut patch on lower elytra.
Size: Overall length measuring from tip of jaw to the end of the abdomen, but excluding antenna and legs: 65-85mm.
