Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, First named by Fabricius in 1775
Colour: Topside (recto) wings black with large areas of reddish-brown and white spots at apex of forewings. The underside (verso) is a mixture of browns with fine black patterns and white spots.
Size: Wingspan 70-85mm
