Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, first named by Grose-Smith in 1890
Colour: the topside (recto) wings are black with various white spots and patches. The hindwing has a paler yellowish-brown patch, while the underside (verso) wings vary from brown to brown with white streak
Size: Wingspan 70-90mm
