Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, First named by Linnaeus in 1764
Colour: A Sexually dimorphic species, females brownish orange with or without white bars, males black with white eye spots edged in purple. Underside (verso) pale to dark brownish-orange with various white patches and lines.
Size: Wingspan 60-70mm
